Books can be picked up at the store, with all payments made at the store as usual.  So there's no reason to worry about putting your credit card number online for local pickups. If you do want to have a book shipped to you, you can place an order and enter your credit card info on our SSL-secured payment system. 

Direct-to-home system: Books can be ordered & paid for in the store, books can be shipped to a friend or family-member out of town.  It can even be gift-wrapped!

ABA (BookSense) gift cards can be used as payment. We have them available for sale in the store. You will also be able to buy them online and we can mail them out or deliver them in our local area. We will continue to sell our paper notecard gift certificates in the bookstore.

There's a host of menus to search through- Book Suggestions, Events, Literary Awards, Local Organizations, VSB Links, Vermont Authors, New Hampshire Authors an Barge Charters. We will be adding new pages, especially on local authors, on a regular basis. 

I'm still learning how to use our new American Bookseller's Association "Drupal" site - it took me about a month to pick out the design we'd use and populate the current pages.  It's a Content Management System, so it can be accessed by our staff from any computer utilizing a web browser. As time goes by we'll continue to learn more about it and add new features. 

The site is also interactive - visitors to the website can also make "Comments" - on events, on books listed on the site, even on VSB News. Go ahead and create an account. And be sure to email us if you have some book suggestions - favorite authors you'd like us to highlight, or topics we should cover.
