Rita's Reviews

Hello, my name is Rita Moore, I am currently a new(ish) student at Compass school. Currently in 11th grade. I moved from California about 2 months ago and am now living in Saxtons River, Vermont. I chose to help at the bookstore due to the fact I am an absolute bibliophile. (Book lover) And read nonstop when I have the chance. What I will post on this list are some books that I have read in my past or am Reading at the time and my thoughts and opinions upon them and upon the authors. The types of books I enjoy reading are all fiction or based upon true stories that I have found interesting. Please enjoy and take pleasure in some of my suggestions for yourself! Please support your local bookstores and their wonderful authors to encourage them to write even more!

The City of Bones is just the first installment of the Mortal Instrument series. When I fisrt located it, I was unsure. It was, after all, in the kid's section of my library. But the cover was pretty, and unusual. As was the name. So I gave it a shot, and was absolutely floored. Not only was it somewhat more advanced than it hinted at, but it was absolutely excellent! The authors writing style is smooth and easy to follow, the characters are easy to love, and the plot twists will have your attention at full mast. The ending made me jump out to try and locate more!

Eragon was an absolute delight in the new terms of Dragons and magic. The author dazzled me with new ideas about creatures, the new ages of dragons and new looks at other mythical creatures.
